2023 action plans and performance

Held activities for Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) to enhance manufacturing processes and quality. The smart material rack has been completed, and samples are currently undergoing testing, reducing the manpower and time required to locate masks. Introduced Power BI into the internal manufacturing processes to effectively monitor the execution status of each process segment and manage production capacity, becoming the operational command center of the facility. The defect warning system has been successfully launched, reducing ineffective output. The automatic acid supply system has gone live on the FAB1 cleaning machine, decreasing safety incidents and manpower needs. Completed technical development for 65nm and 40nm processes.

Taiwan Mask Corporation continuously improves quality, environmental performance, productivity, service, and pricing. Since 2020, we have organized Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) activities annually to achieve higher operational efficiency, improve product and service quality, reduce costs, minimize waste, and promote environmental protection. To encourage employees to enhance quality and participate in CIP activities, we have established an innovation patent reward system.

In recent years, global attention to environmental issues has increased significantly. In response to sustainability trends, Taiwan Mask Corporation is committed to integrating environmental protection concepts into innovative production processes while enhancing quality. In 2023, the waste acid recovery project was completed at both Plant 1 and Plant 2. Concentrated waste acids are categorized based on their properties for reuse or routed to the wastewater treatment system, with plans to put this into actual use in 2024. The recovery and reuse of waste acid will bring numerous environmental benefits, including energy savings, reduced chemical usage, decreased resource waste, and extended machinery lifespan. Taiwan Mask Corporation aims for zero waste acid emissions in the future, contributing to environmental protection efforts.

Smart manufacturing has become a trend. In addition to the systems and services currently in place, Taiwan Mask Corporation aims to provide more efficient and high-quality products and comprehensive services. In the future, we will introduce a process yield analysis platform to improve yield management, smart material racks to optimize manufacturing material rack management, and smart dispatching to balance production scheduling and maximize capacity.
