The Taiwan Mask Charity Foundation also provides the "Outstanding Hope Scholarship" to alleviate the financial burden of education for economically disadvantaged students, allowing them to focus on their studies without worries and bravely pursue their dreams. It continues to collaborate with several non-profit organizations, including the "Caring Foundation," "Caring Association," and "Building Hearts Home," to promote the "Optimization of Non-profit Organizations to Improve the Quality of Care and Education for Disadvantaged Children in Rural Areas" project. This project assists organizations in optimizing the quality of after-school tutoring and supports their human resource development and training. In cooperation with the Shuangfu Foundation, it provides regular visits and care from social workers, offering nutritious meals and home safety assistance, as well as thoughtful services such as accompanying patients to medical appointments. It meticulously cares for the physical and mental needs of the elderly, warming every lonely corner and ensuring that every senior citizen feels the warmth and care of society.

Elderly careIn the short term, the Shuangfu Foundation will accompany 330 elderly people living alone to medical treatment, reducing the incidence of serious illnesses. It will also help 1,000 elderly people obtain adequate nutrition through nutritional enhancement.Focusing on rural healthcare and care for elderly people living alone, the program will extend from Taoyuan to the Hsinchu-Miaoli region, helping over 2,000 vulnerable individuals access medical and nutritional assistance.Strengthen and expand medical and nutritional care services for elderly people living alone, so that more elderly people in Taiwan, who are entering an aging society, can receive good care.
Child care
  • Assistance will be provided to children in Hsinchu County, Nantou County, and rural areas of Hualien and Taitung for early intervention and medical care programs, including subsidies for early intervention, medical care, and transportation expenses. It is estimated that 1,000 children will benefit from this program.
  • Improved after-school care services and preschool curriculum planning for disadvantaged and rural children, benefiting 350 students.
  • By having corporate volunteers share stories at NPOs, it is planned to hold 10 storytelling events to reach schools in Hsinchu and Miaoli.
  • Offering a diverse range of courses, with different curriculum plans, it is estimated that 4,000 students will benefit.
  • To assist organizations providing tutoring and preschool care services to disadvantaged children in rural areas, bridging the urban-rural gap and creating a level playing field.
  • "Going to the Campus" aims to help rural schools develop their unique characteristics, lay a solid foundation for learning, and discover students' individual potential through long-term and in-depth diversified curriculum planning. It is projected to expand its impact, subsidizing 20 schools and benefiting 10,000 students.

2023 Action plans/results
  • Medical subsidies for children in remote areas: NT$3,964,566 was invested, providing medical subsidies to 262 impoverished children and 40 speech therapy sessions, benefiting a total of 600 children.

  • Rural Education Development: A total of NT$11,669,893 was invested to improve and optimize non-profit organizations, thereby providing better care and education for children in rural and disadvantaged areas.

  • Drama and Music Arts Performances: Five excellent drama and music arts performances were held, with an investment of NT$1,810,500, benefiting a total of 2,681 people.

  • Elementary and Junior High School Multi-curricular Curriculum and Scholarship Program: NT$4,670,852 invested, benefiting 2,193 children with multi-curricular programs and 69 students with scholarships.

The Taiwan Mask Charity Foundation upholds the belief of "becoming a force for social progress" and is committed to reducing the urban-rural gap, supporting vulnerable groups, and focusing on three major public welfare axes: "caring for the vulnerable, environmental sustainability, and social welfare activities." In 2024, the foundation continued to cultivate the two major areas of "caring for the vulnerable" and "social welfare activities," investing a total of NT$29,825,529 for the year, bringing a positive impact to society.
